The Dance

A couple little cuts to stomach and I find myself sharing some serious bonding time with my couch.  One can learn amazing things absorbing 200 channels on the AT&T universe …  but there is a limit to marathon episodes of Teen Mom, Clean House, Hoarders, Pickers, Law & Order and even a few clicks at HSN … where one does start to believe that Serious Skin Care Precious Miracle Lift Kit is the answer to most (if not all) of the world’s problems!

So to keep the mind alive I kept the hands occupied with a “couch project”…these little Valentine angels.

I hung them across the window to dry … only to catch them later dancing to the drafty 83 year old house window tune.  A much better answer to the world’s problems …

The Wand

It’s fun to be the Fairy Godmother and grant people’s wishes …especially when your wand is driven by fate. My oldest daughter asked if I had a vintage typewriter and while they have come and gone thru years of selling, none are under roof at this time. She asked me to keep an eye out as we wander…I am sure she will pay me back (mother’s sarcasm).
Two days later wandering Goodwill …with a 50% off coupon in hand… I catch in the corner of my eye this wonderful antique Underwood.

Now antique finds at our Goodwill’s are getting far and few in between… but there it was!
Wish granted… wand waved.... may need a little TLC!
