The Visit

It's an odd thing?

Getting ready to go visit the child and having to create some jewelry to wear.

BUT, knowing what will make me the happiest is to NOT to return with it....

Its starts with a peak in the box of found treasures...

And, with an obsession to hoard vintage shoe clips...

Dumping beads to inspire...oh, the colors...I LOVE the colors!

And, this one was just too easy....

Hope this little piece only has a one way ticket :)

The Feeling

FINALLY!!
We have stumbled on an auction hall where we feel at "home". 

Now, in the terms of auctions and what would make you feel at "home", you have to have the following:

• People you can easily identify and name, for instance "too much money guy", "pony tail woman", "want all the signs guy", " old furniture-old woman-woman"
• A table tucked in the back of the hall with "fair food", at minimum chili dogs and a few homemade pies
• An auctioneer with knowledge and humor
• Auction helpers who take on the personality and roles of the 7 Dwarfs, i.e. Sleepy, Dopey, Grumpy...so on
• And finally, treasures and items that you spot in bottom of boxes...your must haves...that you will try to win from "too much money guy" and "pony tail woman"

My treasures last night ... a group of old trucks that reminded me just a little too much of the junk yard I wandered around a few weeks ago......"we're home"!!

and, I wonder if I may be finding a new love.... in old trucks?

The Saturday

It starts like this... pull a word, read the sentence, get the inspiration

Drink coffee while the mod podge soaks...will I EVER remember to wipe my drips before I close the lid?

Book ripping, canvas painting... more coffee while drying...if it was not 8:00am you might substitute wine in for coffee :)

The ONLY way to stamp and mod podge,  is with wonderful Stazon Ink

I use to live in a house, in Ohio.
There was a whole room to craft, with tables, and drawers, and boxes, and cubbies to keep materials.
There was a basement to store found treasures, for Etsy friends.
There was a garage to hide auction finds, until they had a make over.

Now I live in an apartment, in Alabama.
There is a counter to craft, a few nooks and crannies to hide the elements.

But, I am happy and will always have room in my life to create!
Here is a peak at how I cut, glue, paint and create now....

Somewhere was a promise of "hand-picked deluxe samples, picked from my profile "

...hmmm ... do not think I will be needing blemish cream or ROCK OUT stick-on eye liner anytime in the near future....

So, for now I will stick to strolling Whole Foods on Saturday morning...really enjoy those little samples much better...and I will not be wearing any eye liner :)
