The Where

The Succulent

Succulent!

My new obsession... I used to think of these little ones only as cactus creatures.
 ...and as with all my projects, this one turned out nothing like it started!  I was sure a trip to Salvation Army would grant me a fish bowl, and I would be creating my succulent terrarium.

No fish bowl ...but these marvelous looking drinking glasses!  The top is a mirrored, kinda of mercury looking finish... hmmm...my other new obsession... mercury glass!  Wonderful!

Now, my trip to the greenhouse... before the trip to the Army, I purchased 4 little plants...

...the Army only had 3 glasses.... but on a shelf a few feet down is this darling little sugar bowl... SCORE!  Since I am potting with no drainage a few of these in the bottom... to keep the soil dry.

 

Aren't they just fitting to their name!

The Thirst

Traveling this week I had this amazing drink Slideshooter something or other. It was the MOST thirst quenching refreshing liquid...plus, a bit mellowing.. with a bit of vodka :)

So home, and off to the store....my new friends, lime and cucumber

  
Some water and a bit of Truvio ...a sit by the window to blend 

and here I am, just chillin.... and I have not even added vodka....yet?

The Five

The trip, as always goes by... too fast...

When I started the blog I wanted to capture the idea of creativity, and express how it relates to my five senses...the past week is a perfect example...

Sense of sound (subway musicians)

Sense of taste ( breakfast with french fries and mocha latte)

Sense of smell (a stroll thru the Washington DC Botanical Garden)

Sense of sight ( shoe designers... are the new artist)

Sense of touch ( my heart, my child)
